The company was established in July 2001, covering an area of 36.75 mu, with a registered capital of 57296434 yuan and more than 160 employees. The production capacity of anhydrous aluminum trichloride as the main product is 30000 tons/year, and that of sodium hypochlorite as the by-product is 10000 tons/year.

Shandong Kunbao New Materials Group Co., Ltd. is the parent company of Kunbao, and currently has five wholly-owned subsidiaries: Zhanhua Penghui Chemical Co., Ltd. (product benzoyl chloride), Binzhou Kunbao Chemical Co., Ltd. (product ferric chloride), Shandong Zhanhua Sunshine Chemical Co., Ltd. (product 52 # chlorinated paraffin, 70 # chlorinated paraffin, CEC) Dongying Kunbao New Materials Co., Ltd. (anhydrous aluminum chloride, adamantane amantadine hydrochloride series products), Kunbao Chemical (Zhejiang Free Trade Zone) Co., Ltd. (trading company). The above production enterprises are all liquid chlorine deep processing enterprises, ranking the top three in terms of capacity in the same industry nationwide. Kunbao, one of the five Dongying companies to be listed under the guidance of Shandong Securities Regulatory Bureau, will be listed on the GEM when conditions are ripe.
